Kim started in dentistry as a way to care for others; that’s the kind of person she is. She’s been building relationships in the dental industry for 27 years!
Kim treasures her three dogs and two cats, which she lovingly refers to as her “fur babies.” She also thoroughly appreciates both Thai food and Chick-Flicks, as well as good old country music. She is most proud of her husband and her children. Her husband served our country for 25 years in the Navy, and her kids are genuinely caring people, which makes her feel that they’ll be successful in navigating through the challenges of life.
Born in Washington, Kim began traveling after marrying her Navy man. They have lived all around Washington and California on many different Navy bases. She aspires to travel to other countries to provide dental care for children who can’t afford it.
A Washington native, Melanie remembers this area when it was heavily forested. She grew up here and has fond memories of trees… lots and lots of trees. Her love of the outdoors encompasses her favorite activities: anything that takes her to the mountains. She has a deep love and respect for the area she calls home and spends her free time reveling in the vastness.
Dentistry has been part of Melanie’s life since she was a teen and had braces herself. She became interested in the process and took a vocational class while still in high school. Upon graduating, Melanie earned her CDA and has been diligently caring for patients ever since.
It’s probably no coincidence (or surprise) that forest green is Melanie’s favorite color. She’s also been known to devour both Thai food and books from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
Mackenzie, or “Kenzie” as she’s known around here, has a sunny disposition that matches her favorite color… yellow! A local girl–born and raised right here in Snohomish County–Kenzie has been a Certified Dental Assistant for nearly 4 years. She was drawn to this field because of her interest in anatomy and her commitment to helping people.
Many of us have something in our lives we’re particularly proud to have accomplished; for Kenzie, it was in high school when she was chosen to receive two financial scholarships that helped get her through school. Mackenzie plans to use her life experiences as a catalyst to move her towards her goal of motivational speaking to teenagers.
Her future will surely be as bright as her favorite color! Traveling to Greece is on her agenda (particularly to visit the the ancient ruins of The Acropolis and to sail near Santorini), as well as skydiving, which she can do right here in Snohomish!
