Laura
Laura is a Washington native. She was born in Mt. Vernon and grew up on a small farm on Camano Island with a menagerie of small pets and farm animals. Her family, including her pets, have always given her a tremendous sense of pride and pleasure.
Originally headed toward a career in chiropractic medicine, Laura has been in the dental industry for 20 years because she loves the relationships she builds with her patients.
Laura is a big time Seahawks and Mariners fan and classic rock-N-roll and country top her music charts. When she has free time, outdoor activities like hiking, camping, fishing and archery keep her busy.
Rita
Rita began her healthcare career in biotechnology, working with Petri dishes and test tubes. Her passion for people led her to seek out a field with more interpersonal connections, which prompted her to earn her degree in Dental Hygiene from Lake Washington Institute of Technology.
Living with less and growing more of her own food are two of Rita’s personal goals. She eats a plant based diet for both health and environmental reasons; she particularly enjoys hearty mushroom dishes.
She is Canadian by birth, a Chicagoan by upbringing, and a Seattleite by choice. With her family and their Alaskan malamute, they enjoy many of the outdoor activities that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
One of Rita’s fondest memories took place as a free spirited twenty-something, when she spent her summer traveling solo across Europe by train. She enjoys most music styles, and has a particular affection for cello music played by her talented daughter. In the future, she hopes to make music of her own by picking up the guitar once again.
