Dentistry for Kids

kids dentist

Your children are welcome here!

What age should kids start seeing the dentist?

There is a devastating dental condition called baby bottle tooth decay that can occur in infants. For parents who are not familiar with this term, we recommend seeing the dentist with your child by age 1 to learn how to protect your child from getting baby bottle tooth decay.  Between 2-3 years of age, the baby teeth have completely come in.

What happens during a visit?

Our goal for kids is to make the dental experience fun and easy.  We use positive reinforcement to help our young patients through unfamiliar procedures.  Parents are always welcome to accompany their kids during appointments.

What if my child has cavities?

We have some great tools in air abrasion and ozone that commonly allow us to treat cavities without using “numbing.”  If cavities do require anesthetic, we have advanced methods and great dental assistants so we “put teeth to sleep” without discomfort.
